Alan Noake MBE

Chairman & Founding Trustee

Alan leads the technical and tactical strategy of the foundation. He is passionate about travel and runs regular trips taking young people to Africa and beyond. He also led the original Kent Scouts REQUEST2021 Antarctica Project which inspired the ReQUEST FOUNDATION.

Cathy Mummery

Founding Trustee

Cathy was a Leader on the original REQUEST2021 expedition.  She has a long standing interest in all things Polar.  Cathy worked and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse for 10 years before returning to take over as a director of the family retail business for the past 20 years.

Darcey Holmes

David Wraight

Founding Trustee

David was a member of the original REQUEST 2021Steering Committee. He both runs regular international trips for young people and supports other leaders in Kent Scouts doing the same. His background is in archaeology and museums, but he also enjoys sailing and travel.

Jan Chojecki

Founding Trustee

Jan is the grandson of John Quiller Rowett, who financed the Shackleton-Rowett (Quest) Expedition of 1921-22, and is author of The Quest Chronicle (2022). He is a bioscientist by training and has spent his career in the development and transfer of innovations from public research in the biosciences. 

Lucy Morgan

Founding Trustee

Lucy was a member of the original ReQuest 2021 expedition. She is a Scout and a geographer, with a particular interest in climate change.

Sam Payne

Founding Trustee

Sam was a member of the original ReQuest 2021 project as one of the two Scottish Scouts. He is a geographer and now works in environmental policy.
